There are many ways to connect with Angels. In truth there is no separation between Angels and humankind. Separation is a physical realm concept, a perception that we are not connected to Divine Source Energy.
Angels, your Guardian Angels, are always with you. You need only ask for help, speaking aloud your request, speaking silently to yourself, or simply say “Angels please help me.” Angels know your deepest desires and fears, your deepest joy and sorrows. There is no request too great or small, no request is more important than another; these are physical realm concepts.
Prayer: Prayer is a sacred and very personal way to connect with Angels. You do not pray to Angels, for they are messengers of God, the Creator of All There Is. Prayer is a way to quiet the mind, still the emotions, opening your heart for healing, receiving the guidance you seek; a way of connecting with your inner Self, your core essence of love and light. A prayer can be as simple as a moment of silence or lighting a candle and giving thanks for the many blessings in your life.
Meditation: Meditation is seeking stillness, the space in-between thoughts or the space in-between breaths. Meditation is the stillness within each of us, seeking calm and a sense of peacefulness. Meditation opens the channel within each of us to hearing, feeling or sensing, and for some, seeing Angels through their inner sight. You may receive answers to your requests during meditation while sitting in the silence or listening to soft music. (more…)

There are many definitions of the word Angel, but the most common definition of Angel is Messenger. Many cultures believe in Angels and have stories of how a Divine Spirit has sent or used Angels to carry out specific tasks.
Throughout history these stories depict Angels usually Arch Angels bearing everything from news of an immaculate conception to the reign of death and destruction. The philosophy discussed here is built on the belief system that every human is born with a council of Guardian Angels or Spirit Guides (not to be confused with Arch Angels) that have been assigned the task of helping you with this earthly existence.

Guardian angels are a controversial topic, and opinion on whether or not they exist is very much divided. On one hand, there are those that reject the claims of anything spiritual and suggest that there is no logical possibility of some divine body protecting and guarding individuals from harm, while the opposing side swear from personal experience and anecdotal evidence that there is without a doubt some third party protector who has intervened in their lives or altered their path dramatically. Either way, establishing the presence of guardian angels is no easy task.
Proving categorically whether or not guardian angels exist is impossible, because proving faith at any level is impossible; it isn’t called ‘faith’ for nothing. However, by working with arguments from both sides of the fence, it may be possible to hypothesize more accurately the status of the guardian angel and whether it is feasible that angels may exist and have the ability to impact our lives. I had to brighten up my day after writing an article on demons! Do you believe in angels? I have a tendency to believe more in angels than in demons. Maybe because of the way I was raised or because it’s comforting. Is it possible that we could have our own guardian angels? I did a little research to see what I would find when I look up angels on the Internet.
An angel is usually defined as a messenger of God. This varies across different cultures and religions. Some religions believe that angels can take on a human form. There are religious philosophers who believe that angels can be found in our outer galaxy and inside the sun! Some have wings and some don’t, and the types of angels go on forever, varying through different cultures. Many people who have narrowly escaped a traumatic event or had a mysterious stranger come to their rescue might say that an angel came to their rescue while some might say it was just good luck.
It seems that many people who believe in angels also believe in demons, yet I found much more information online about demons than I did on angels. Everyone wants to tell their haunting stories but there are not as many stories out there about angels. It is obviously difficult to state why this is exactly. I’m assuming that people search more for scary topics than they do for stories about angels. There also seems to be an increased interest in the paranormal these days with all of the exciting new TV ghost shows that have come about over the past few years. These are great but it would be nice, once in a while, to lighten things up with some positive stories of the world beyond. Perhaps we look up more scary topics online because it’s daring and we wouldn’t need to know everything about angels because most of us don’t fear them.
Angels occasionally make news headlines like; “Passers-by were ‘angels’ when girl, 6, lost hand” or “I Saw an Angel!” Those who save people’s lives or help a stranger out of harm’s way are sometimes referred to as angels. Could it be that people have lost faith in each other so much that when human beings do what they should to help someone in need they are seen as divine? Or could it be that angels actually take on the life form of a human being? Perhaps it’s just comforting to believe that a celestial being is watching over us and guiding us in life. Then again, maybe angels are real and one is watching over you right now.

The concept of the guardian angel is one that has been present for centuries across a number of different cultures and belief systems. From the Ancient Greek civilization to modern day, theologians across the world are faced with the problem of identifying whether or not guardian angels exist and, if so, in what form they are present. While there is a wealth of empirical, anecdotal evidence of the presence of guardian angels, how can the idea of a guardian angel be defined?
Trying to define a guardian angel is an awkward process, the process of finding a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach is tricky to say the least. The starting point for the definition must come from stories and personal accounts from those claiming to have encountered some form of spiritual guidance in the form of a protective angel or some other celestial being. Generally in Western belief systems, guardian angels are interpreted and indeed depicted as human-like beings sent from heaven to protect and guide their pupils.
The Bible draws reference to angels on a number of occasions, particularly in the Old Testament – some 299 references, in fact. On that basis, it is easy to understand that the concept of the angel or the guarding force makes up a part of the Christian faith. Angels are known to be messengers of God, often depicted to be winged creatures. These supernatural beings are believed widely in many religions, including Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and even Hinduism.
Angels are mystical beings that serve as a link or an intermediary between man and his Supreme Creator. In the Christian Bible, they are known to be the attendants to God’s throne, God’s messenger to his people, and personal guardians to each and every person. While there are also evil angels or fallen angels, the divine angels are the ones that people can look up to for guidance and help.
It is possible to ask help from guardian angels as it is believed that every one has them. In Hebrews for example, angels are referred to as ministering spirits who are sent to provide guidance to the world, for the sake of salvation.
Angels are known to communicate to mere mortals in many ways. They can work through the intuition; but one of the most common means in communicating is through dreams. In the Bible for example, people and prophets were often depicted to be conversing with angels through dreams. Often they would receive messages, warnings or good tidings from these mystical creatures whether through dreams or through apparitions. (more…)

Guardian Angels and Spirit Guides
How to detect angelic presence and distinguish between angels and spirit guides.
Guardian Angels are assigned to us at birth and remain with us throughout our lifetime. An angel guide on the other hand is one that we can call upon for extra assistance.
All of us can call upon many angels, in addition to our Guardian Angel, to help us in any situation. Their role is to steer us in the right direction, to reassure and to guide us once we request their help. They are not here to interfere in our life lessons but to help make our life’s journey an easier path to tread.
Guides, on the other hand, are our closest friends in the spirit world. They are there to help us and are available to us as soon as we ask for help or guidance. They give inspiration and pass messages through our intuition.
We have one main Spirit Guide throughout our life in addition to others who come and go as the need arises, according to what lessons we have to learn. A Spirit Guide may try to steer us on the right path if we ask their advice, although we have freewill and are left to make the final choice. (more…)

Angels or Messengers of love and light do not live on white puffy clouds, nor do they have wings. But be reassured they do come into our lives to help and guide us.
Many people from all walks of life have told stories of their experiences from these unseen helpers.
But what are angels? They have been in our books for centuries. Hollywood has portrayed them, poets and writers have written about them. Artists have painted them. Who are they and why are they here?
They are more than a great imagination. They are real. They have come into many ordinary peoples lives and have changed them for the good.
There are many different angels written about. Some are from the highest vibration and look after Global affairs. Some are in charge of the Animal Kingdom. Some angels look after the Plant Kingdom.
Every living thing has brought angels here to look after them on Planet Earth. The angels from the highest vibration have never incarnated on earth but are here for us if we call on them. We come here with guardian angels. The are assigned to us with the agreement to help us with difficult times in our lives to get us through.
Even though we may not believe or are aware of them they will never leave us. They patiently await for our instructions to assist us.
Angels are particularly evident when we are in trouble or in life and death situations. This is usually when people talk of unseen help. (more…)

In this modern world, many people find it hard to believe that they too have a guardian angel assigned by God to protect them. I believe in angels. I’ve experienced quite a few angelic intercessions in my life, and so believe firmly that angels do exist. In fact I wrote a book on the subject. See below. In each instance, I felt overwhelming gratitude for my angel’s help, and fortunate to be the recipient of such awesome, generous blessings.
However, in my mind, as well as in the minds of many others, the question arises as to why these guardian angels do not intercede more often in our lives? Wouldn’t we love it if they did? And aren’t there numerous occasions when we feel that we certainly could use a guardian angel right now, and where is s/he? It sure feels disappointing when nothing and no one shows up, and we have to muddle through on our own. At such times, most of us have a tendency to lose faith, as well as wonder if we simply had not imagined the prior angelic help in the first place.
I know many people can attest to seeing an angel, or being guided by or greatly helped by angelic intercession. These experiences always contain elements of the miraculous and leave us awestruck. Ask almost anyone around you, and you will find that frequently they have a miraculous story to tell. Such experiences are not unusual.
Sometimes I do wonder if my angel has abandoned me. I’ve had numerous hard times when I longed for an angelic visit, but received a no-show instead. I’ve also had times when my faith was shaken because of the irritating silence that greeted my prayers. It is the oldest of stories. Even Jesus on the cross cried out, asking why God had forsaken him.
So the question comes back to why angels do not intercede more often. I think there is more than one answer to this question.
For one thing, I believe we are always heard. No prayer or plea ever goes unnoticed. However, on many occasions, when I felt abandoned, it was only with the passage of time that I was able to look back and see connections between certain events. I came to see how what felt like a hardship had to occur in order for some other fortuitous event to result, thus realizing that Spirit had, indeed, stepped in. And invariably I would become extremely gratedful. My faith was renewed once again.
Also, be aware that the angels are never permitted to interfere with our choices. We humans have the option of choice at all times. So if we sincerely pray for help, and then go ahead and decide on our own to take a specific action, the angels cannot interfere with that. No matter whether our choice of action was a good one or a bad one. That’s why the best prayers are when we let go, do nothing, and just simply give up. At these times, we are more likely to see prayers favorably answered, and maybe even realize an angelic intercession.
I want to mention a couple of matters in regard to the above. One is that we have total free choice, but the angels do not. I am not sure how much ‘free choice’ is available to them; but whether it is only a little or some or none at all, they are not permitted to interfere with our choices.
Also, we, as human beings, have a lot more power at our disposal than we give ourselves credit for. We are gifted with intelligence, imagination, intuition, and feelings, and all these can serve us greatly. Of course, much depends on how we choose to use our gifts. Sometimes we don’t use them well and sabotage our own best interests. However, many things that trouble us can be resolved on our own.
We have not been put in this world as hapless, helpless beings, without resources to help us survive and prosper. As I stated above, we have a lot more at our disposal than we often are willing to acknowledge.
Another matter to consider when you are feeling abandoned by your guardian angel is the matter of control. We love maintaining control over what is happening or will happen. This ties in with the subject of choice, as discussed above. If we are praying for an answer, but feel that we need to take control and do something on our own in order to resolve the problem, then it is very unlikely that an angelic intercession will occur. Again, the best prayers are when we let go and let God.
One other self-sabotaging utility we resort to is telling Spirit what to do and how to solve our problem. This weakens a prayer greatly. Letting go of control can be a big challenge for many. Spirit does not need your help in solving problems, least of all instructions from you. It is to your advantage to just let go and let Spirit do Its work. This almost always turns out much better than we mere mortals could ever imagine. I know I have been awestruck on occasion by how some unhappy matter got resolved after praying hard on it. The resolution usually came from a source I never would have anticipated on my own. And always the resolution was better than anything I could have imagined.
So, these may be some of the reasons our guardian angel does not show up as often as we would like. Bear in mind that the responsibilities of the angels are to protect, comfort and guide. They are not to take charge of your life and make decisions for you. That may happen, usually when you least expect it, and usually in a situation where you require supernatural intercession. But certainly this is not something to be expected all the time.
Keep in mind that you always have angels all around you who know of you and who love you.
